Professor of Cultural Studies (Media and Film), University of Sussex, UK. His book "Everyday life and cultural theory : an introduction" (2001) has great influence. Recent books include: "Cultural Feelings: Mood, Mediation, and Cultural Politics" (Routledge, 2017); "The Art of Brutalism: Rescuing Hope from Catastrophe in 1950s Britain" (Yale University Press, 2017) ; "Culture: Key Ideas in Media and Cultural Studies" (Routledge, 2016) and so on.
